Melody is an associate in the Hong Kong office.

She is experienced in handling commercial litigation and arbitration matters, advising Hong Kong listed companies and private businesses on various litigation issues as well as settling disputes through mediation.

She is a contributor to the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap.571): Commentary & Annotations published by Sweet & Maxwell Hong Kong.

Melody is a Hong Kong qualified lawyer who obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and PCLL from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Relevant experience

A listed corporation in Hong Kong’s first application against the Secretary for Justice in the Court of Appeal resisting disclosure of documents containing LPP materials.
A CPA firm on resisting an injunction application against the firm seeking return of assets in the value of US$13M managed by it pursuant to trust agreements.
A client on a commercial dispute concerning initial coin offering in the value of US$7M.
A District Director of a multinational insurance company on a consultancy contractual dispute concerning foreign exchange control and anti-money laundering, assisting client on the investigation conducted by the Insurance Authority.
A client on Hong Kong’s first application for recognition of a bankruptcy order made by the Court of Japan, a non-common law jurisdiction.
